ALL asbestos has been banned for years but continues to be present in many buildings and can cause shattering damage to those who inhale the fibres. It’s a killer. This involves us as workers, patients, users of council buildings and includes children in schools.You are invited to a discussion for trade unionists.
Thursday 7th November starting at 7.30 p.m.

We will start with a panel which includes:
A Health and Safety Representative from FBU
Asbestos Support West Midlands
An Industrial Toxicologist
After an introduction to the current state of knowledge
and activities all participants will have an opportunity to
share the specific issues that face their members, their
union policies and local activities. Then we will focus on
what we can do locally to support each other in tackling
asbestos in public buildings and domestic premises.
