UK train operators vs environmentally friendly opportunities for young people to explore as many as 31 countries

Another petition, folks, from Ana Oppenheim of Another Europe

Dear Alan,

Today the Rail Delivery Group, which represents UK train operators, announced that it's pulling out of the Interrail scheme.

For millions of young people, Interrailing has been an unforgettable experience. It's one of the most affordable and environmentally friendly ways of exploring as many as 31 countries. We can't let privatisation, corporate greed and the close-mindedness of train companies deprive younger generations of opportunities that so many of us enjoyed.

Ultimately, we believe all trains should be owned by the public and run in the public interest, prioritising people and the planet - not profit. Putting up barriers to travel will make us all poorer in more than one way.

If you agree, please sign our petition to keep British trains in Interrail and not cut the UK off from the rest of Europe.
